Maggie turns 2!!!

Maggie had a great 2nd Birthday yesterday. We went to The Original Pancake House in Bend where she had chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream for breakfast. Then we went to the Working Wonders Children's Museum in the old Mill District. Both girls had a a blast there. Maggie was old enough this time to play with all the exhibits. Bridget loved the new "be a news anchor" installation. It had a big news desk, microphones a weather wall and a closed circuit camera with a TV monitor on the wall so the kids could see themselves reporting. She did many "special reports" while we were there. She had some presents to open. Her two favorites were the Fisher Price Little People Castle and a little box of dress up clothes. Maggie and Bridget immediately dressed up and ran through the ranch saying they were fairies and princesses. I managed to get a few cute pictures of them like that. Then I made Maggie a special Birthday dinner of her favorite Fettuccine Alfredo and topped it off with a absolutely delicious Berry Vanilla Chantilly cake from Whole Foods and chocolate ice cream from a local dairy in Redmond. We've decided to stay an extra day since today is the first nice sunny day all week (it's been cold, windy and lots of snow flurries) and the pass was still a bit icy this morning. It was so nice to actually be able to see all the mountains today, especially the Three Sisters are just gorgeous with tons of snow.
