We're home!

We got back from Oregon last night after making my best drive time ever. We made it home in 6 hours! We only stopped once and the girls were really great troopers the whole ride down and back.

The pumpkin patch was lots of fun. The maze was HUGE (200 acres I believe) but we did successfully navigate our way through it and even found the Princess (who had candy) in the middle. They had these huge pumpkin cannons that were like super sized versions of PJ's compressed air potato gun. Bridget was in a mood and was pretty cranky at first. She wasn't allowing any pictures of her that day, but I got a few of Maggie and even Bridget when she wasn't looking.

We also found the coolest playground EVER in Prineville in a beautiful little park with a paved bike path along a good sized creek. We will definitely be visiting there again next time. Bridget also had fun having adventures outside and driving her tractor while Maggie had a blast playing in the dirt mounds and chasing Jessie around. We are all so sad that we most likely won't get to go back until March.

Here are just a few pictures for now. The first one is from a little photoshoot Bridget agreed to, with the bribe of a bag of skittles. The second one was from the park in Prineville and the rest are from the pumpkin patch.

Quick preview for the R Family

Thanks you guys for letting my try and take some family pics for you this afternoon. I may not have gotten as many as I wanted, but I did get some real cute ones. Here are a few that I edited up real fast so you have something to look at while I'm down in Oregon. Since I will be totally without internet until I get back I won't have the rest up for you until I get back next Tuesday.
Also, I forgot to here but I promise I will fix her bruise in the finals :)

*** OK, Blogger is seriously p!$$ing me off right now because it won't let me post these big. Grrrr.

Here are a few more pics from the pumpkin patch. These ones I converted to B&W's. I know there's a few of you out there who really like the B&W's :)

More park pictures...

More from the park for you all. I'm hoping to get lots of cute photos this weekend. My cousin is going to come down from Seattle with her little girl and we are taking the kids to the pumpkin patch. The weather is supposed to be beautiful so lets keep our fingers crossed it stays that way. I'm still looking for my usb cord for my camera BTW.

More Fall-ish photos and some cool news

So I would love to show you some pictures from our walk on Sunday. The girls and I joined Grammy, Poppa, Aunt She-She and other friends in the City of Hope Walk for a Cure, Breast Cancer Walk in Seattle on Sunday. The problem is I can't find my camera cord anywhere so I can download the pictures. As soon as I do, I will post those pictures.

The walk was great, the weather stayed nice for the whole thing. The rain didn't roll in until after lunch. The girls did great. Bridget and Maggie just chilled in the stroller while Poppa pushed. Then for the last little bit Bridget decided she wanted to race Shannon to the finish line. I didn't see what happened next but at some point Bridget tripped and fell, partially face planting into the road. Luckily Whaley saved her from total cheese grater face since Bridget mostly fell on Whaley. She did still get a good patch of road rash above her lips and my her left eye. Hopefully it will be all healed up before her School pictures next Wed.

Speaking of school, this leads me to a bit of cool news. Bridget's teacher approached me yesterday and told me that Bridget was an outstanding student. She said that Bridget paid attention very well, always followed directions exactly (to a T is what she said), that she usually had very well thought out answers and showed a real aptitude for her letters and phonics. Soooo, her teacher wants to move her up to the 5 year/PreK class. I agreed to give it a shot, but at anytime I think it might be too much for her (as most of you know she doesn't always handle sudden change very well) we will move her back to the 4 year old program. Luckily since the 4 y/o and 5 y/o share the classroom she won't be loosing her 4 y/o friends. The only difference is she will start a half hour earlier on M/W/F than she does now and she will go to school on Th. also. On Thursday it will be just the 5 years/PreK kids. I think that's the only day she will actually notice a difference.

Here's a few more pictures from the park the other day.

A real quick preview for you Cathy...

I'm heading off to bed but before I could I just had to get a quick preview up for you (and these were done very quick and are far from perfect). Thank you and Tom again for being such great sports and letting me practice on you. You guys were up for anything! You two are two of the sweetest people I know. I promise, I will take you up on that helicopter shoot one day :)

I just thought that last one was soooo cute! Also, I'm noticing the blogspot blog tends to desat the colors in my photos. These look much more vibrant in Photoshop. I'll have to see how they look on my Flickr.

Beautiful colors at the park

On Friday as I was driving Bridget to school I passed the park and noticed a large beautiful tree with gorgeous red foliage. So this afternoon about an hour before the sunset PJ and I took the girls to the park for some pictures and to play on the playground. Bridget was actually pretty cooperative for a change and I managed to get some very cute pictures. Even a few of Maggie, even though she was busy digging in the dirt.
